Thank you to all those FRIENDS who contributed to the successful campaign to stop the proposed budget cuts. OTW won the battle but it is unlikely that we have won the war. Arts funding across the country and across the board faces a period of sustained and deepening cuts - Theatre Workshop will not always be an exception. But, for now, we have two great events to look forward to... ALICE will be OTWs next audacious musical extravaganza at the end of July at Oldham Coliseum - book early to avoid disappointment! Perfomances 22nd - 26th July at 7.30: Sat matinee at 2.30 Tickets are available now from Oldham Coliseum Box Office Fairbottom St, Oldham, OL1 3SW 0161 624 2829 RUBY SLIPPERS BALL - 16th July at 7.30 a fantabulous night out to celebrate OTWs 40th birthday - at the White Hart Lydgate Saddleworth Oldham. There will be a limited number of tickets available at £40 each. Details of where to get hold of these precious commodities before they are sold for millions on e-bay will be announced at the next Friends meeting ... and posted on this site next week. NEXT MEETING OF FRIENDS OF OLDHAM THEATRE WORKSHOP - WEDNESDAY 14TH MAY FROM 7.30 - 9pm Our next meeting is a chance, for those who wish it, to peek in on rehearsals for ALICE for 30minutes or so before retiring to the studio to meet and chat about the future of our organisation - we need as many people as possible to be a part of it so please come if you can!
